THE COUNTERFEIT BEATLES AT THE NOMAD THEATRE, EAST HORSLEY. 25TH MARCH 2022
The Horsley Live Music Club promoted its very first show - The Counterfeit Beatles at the Nomad Theatre, East Horsley, on Friday March 25th. Described as ‘the UK’s most authentic and entertaining Beatles tribute band’, the band has performed more than 1,000 times at festivals, theatres and TV shows in the UK, Europe, India, Japan and South Korea.  A full house thoroughly enjoyed a packed two and a half hour show of Beatles favourites, from the red-light district of Hamburg to the London rooftops of Get Back.  Every detail is accurate, from the costumes and hairstyles to the instruments and amplifiers. What’s more, every song is played in the original key, with all the energy, enthusiasm and musicality you’d expect. A surprisingly animated audience clapped its hands, rattled its jewellery, waved its arms in the air and joined in the singing with gusto.   'This is almost as good as seeing the real thing' said one audience member. 'The Counterfeit Beatles were fabulous. An evening of sheer joy. Thank you.' said another. It's hard to see how our first gig could have been better.
