AN EVENING OF ACOUSTIC BEATLES MUSIC - FRIDAY 27th SEPTEMBER 2024
AN EVENING OF ACOUSTIC BEATLES MUSIC, PERFORMED BY THE COUNTERFEIT BEATLES - UNPLUGGED!. FRIDAY 27th SEPTEMBER 2024
Following the success of 'The Sounds of Simon' concert that we ran together last year, Horsley Live Music Club and St Martin's Church are again collaborating to put on a concert in the Church. It's not easy to follow the music of Simon and Garfunkel - but we think that the music of the Beatles does just that. Click here to buy tickets.
The Counterfeit Beatles are one of the leading UK Beatles tribute acts, with 20 years experience of performing in the UK, Europe and around the World. They have performed in Horsley before, to great acclaim - but for this show, they will be playing 'acoustic' versions of Beatles songs, using acoustic guitars, bass and percussion. Expect the acoustic side of the Beatles greatest hits, as well as some lesser-known album tracks. Songs like Here Comes the Sun, Something, Yesterday, All My Loving, Help and Hey Jude. This is the concert that the original Beatles never performed!
There is more information about the fabulous Counterfeit Beatles below.
The Church - and bar - will be open at 7.00 and the music will start at 7.45, with an interval, finishing at 10.00. The show is fully-seated: please note that seats are unallocated. Profits from refreshments will be donated to Cherry Trees, our local children's charity.
Tickets are £25 (which includes a booking fee) – CLICK HERE TO BOOK.

THE COUNTERFEIT BEATLES
The Counterfeit Beatles return to Horsley by popular demand, having performed for us in recent years at the Nomad Theatre, the Great Hall in Horsley Towers and also at the Horsley Big Day Out. They really are that good! All the photographs to the right are of the band's performances in Horsley. Described as ‘the UK’s most authentic and entertaining Beatles tribute band’, the band has performed more than 1,000 times at festivals, theatres and TV shows in the UK, Europe, India, Japan and South Korea. This year, they will be the final act on the main stage at Scotland's largest music festival, the Tartan Heart Festival at Belladrum. Every detail is accurate, from the costumes and hairstyles to the instruments and amplifiers. Every note is spot on. And what’s more, every song is played in the original key, with all the energy, enthusiasm and musicality you’d expect. |
This event is promoted by the Horsley Live Music Club and St Martin’s Church. The club is a not-for-profit group of local music enthusiasts - all volunteers, who put on regular live music events in Horsley.
