ALBERT LEE & HIS BAND AT THE NOMAD THEATRE, THURSDAY 2nd NOVEMBER
The Horsley Live Music Club was thrilled to welcome Albert Lee, one of the most respected and renowned guitarists in popular music history, to Horsley. Albert is the first truly world-class artist we have booked - and he did not disappoint. The show sold out almost immediately and the audience really appreciated a great performance by Albert and his excellent band. It was our absolute pleasure to be in the company of this extremely talented and modest man. The video to the right is of Albert's second encore - Tear it Up. |

ALBERT LEE - THE GUITARIST'S GUITARIST
“The ultimate virtuoso. His skill is extraordinary, his ear is extraordinary and he’s gifted on just about every level.” - Eric Clapton Legendary guitarist Albert Lee started his career during the emerging music scene of sixties London, and first became known to the public as a member of Chris Farlowe and the Thunderbirds. As a member of Head, Hands and Feet, he became known to a wider audience, leading to a move to America and a stellar touring and recording career, in his own right and as as one of the most sought-after sidemen in music history. Albert has worked in the studio and on tour with a diverse range of artists, including Eric Clapton, Emmylou Harris & the Hot Band, The Everly Brothers (for more than 25 years), Jackson Browne, Joe Cocker, Dolly Parton, The Crickets and Bill Wyman. Albert is a Grammy Award winner, a multiple recipient of Guitar Player magazine's "Best Country Guitarist’ and has earned a reputation as ‘the guitar player’s guitar player'. He is famous for his speed, technical virtuosity and above all, melodic invention. He is also a fine keyboard player and vocalist. “A brilliant guitar player. His sound is unmistakable - often emulated, never equalled.” - Emmylou Harris TICKETS This is an all-seated event. There will be two sets, with an interval.
