HOLLIE ROGERS.  SATURDAY 8th NOVEMBER 2025. THE NOMAD THEATRE
Picture
HOLLIE ROGERS AND HER BAND at the NOMAD THEATRE. SATURDAY 8th NOVEMBER 2025
We are delighted to welcome Hollie Rogers back to Horsley, this time with her full band. Hollie is an outstanding singer, songwriter and guitarist with an incredibly powerful voice, whose live performances consistently receive outstanding reviews. But if you saw her at the Malting House last year, you already know that! This time, it's an all-seated event in the comfortable and well-equipped Nomad Theatre, with great lighting and sound and a friendly and reasonably-priced bar.  Tickets are £22 (plus  booking fee).   CLICK HERE TO BOOK

HOLLIE ROGERS
"A magnificent and powerful voice" - Suzanne Vega
"Reminiscent of Carole King & Joni Mitchell. Amazing voice" - Nick Mason, Pink Floyd
"Hollie’s songwriting always knocks me out" – Chris Difford

Hollie's powerful and soulful voice is matched by her songwriting ability and her impressively emotional and mature music. Such talent has not gone un-noticed:  Hollie is backed by 'BBC Introducing' and has supported acts like KT Tunstall, Suzanne Vega, Midge Ure, Paolo Nutini, Chris Difford and Ralph McTell. Hollie has played at many festivals, including Glastonbury, Black Deer and Cornbury Festival. She is also a regular performer at events curated by no less a figure than Whispering Bob Harris, who recently invited her to record a live session at his home studio.

Hollie is a graduate of The English Folk Expo's Artist Mentorship Programme and her music is playlisted in all Caffè Nero stores worldwide. She was nominated in 4 categories at this year’s UK Blues Awards

Her charity single 'City Of Colour' was produced by 4-time Grammy-nominated James McMillan: you can listen it by clicking on the link to the right. Her last album, 'Criminal Heart' is available now on CD or Vinyl.  The album features a track co-written and performed by chart-topper Jamie Lawson & legendary guitarist Robben Ford, and has been met with critical acclaim. Hollie sang an outstanding acoustic version of Criminal Heart in Horsley last year – a video of this is to the right.

Hollie’s forthcoming album, ‘Everything’s Fine’ features collaborations with Elles Bailey and Grammy-nominated Beth Nielsen-Chapman. Hollie’s vocals on the record have again been engineered by James McMillan, whose credits include Jennifer Hudson and Whitney Houston. The album is set for release in 2026, so this show is an opportunity to hear some brand-new tunes played live with the band for the first time.

This is Hollie's second visit to Horsley Live Music Club, and after a successful duo show last year with Ed Blunt, this time she'll be joined by her full five‑piece band, including Ed, promising a richly layered, dynamic performance. Last time, the show sold out almost immediately, with a lengthy waiting list. So please, don’t miss this chance to experience Hollie’s compelling original songs and offbeat stage banter - a show to make you laugh, cry, and everything in between - as she showcases tracks from her brand-new album alongside fan favourites.

HOLLIE ROGERS, MARCH 7th 2024: A REVIEW
Members of Horsley Live Music Club were privileged to be entertained by Hollie Rogers at the Malting House, that hidden gen behind the Barley Mow in West Horsley. Hollie is a singer, songwriter and guitarist renowned for her incredibly powerful voice – something very much in evidence in her set. She has played with many well-known people, and regularly performs at events curated by Whispering Bob Harris (a man famous for not having an incredibly powerful voice).

Hollie was ably supported by talented singer-songwriter Ed Blunt on keyboards, who also performed a few of his own excellent songs. During her introduction Hollie noted that she and Ed had met at a songwriting workshop run by Chris Difford – a fact that folded neatly into our HLMC ecosystem, as Chris performed for us last year.

The enthusiastic audience was treated to nearly two hours of wonderful songs - described by compere Mark Beasley as a 'Masterclass in composition and performance'. These included:

Criminal Heart – the title track of Hollie’s latest album dealing with being in an obsessive relationship. A video of this is below.
Love & Distance - co-written with Jamie Lawson and the legendary session guitarist Robben Ford
Sinner - during which Hollie had the whole room singing “I’m a sinner, and I love what you do”!
The Coast Road - where Hollie described the pleasure of driving the coast roads of her native Cornwall. Who knew that the Cornish language could sound so lovely!

When the audience demanded more, we were treated to the outstanding City of Colour where Hollie described how, in order to write a song for a competition, she walked the streets with her headphones on listening to songs about our capital city. A video of this is to the right.

A wonderful and memorable evening. We plan to invite Hollie back with her full band. (Editor's note: we did!).
