Horsley Live Music Club is delighted to present The Alter Eagles, an experienced, authentic and talented tribute to one of the world’s biggest and most influential bands – The Eagles.
Formed in 2003, the five-piece band performs the whole repertoire of Eagles tracks, from tasteful country rock - complete with full harmonies - through to hard rocking numbers, showcasing the Eagles' trademark duelling electric guitars. The current set comprises material from 35 years of Eagles' performances, up to and including 2007's Long Road Out Of Eden. A typical set includes many of the band's greatest hits, including Hotel California, Desperado, Life in the Fast Lane, Lying Eyes, Take It Easy and One of These Nights. Noted for their accuracy, the Alter Eagles are a tribute to the Eagles, pure and simple. The band members are: Steve McCormack (guitars, vocals), Alan Tomkins (keys, guitars, vocals), Mike Bradley (guitars, vocals), Ed Chisholm (drums and percussion) and Rob Beattie (bass, vocals). THE EAGLES
If ever there was a band that needs no introduction, it’s the Eagles. Or just 'Eagles', as they prefer to be known. But if you’ve been lost on a dark desert highway for the past 55 years, here is a quick overview. The Eagles are an American west coast country rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1971 and still performing today. They are one of the most influential and best-selling bands ever, having sold more than 200 million records worldwide. Their popularity continues to this day – their recent residency at the 20,000 capacity Sphere in Las Vegas ran from October to March this year, with ticket prices from $175 and upwards (and upwards)! The group is known almost as much for its internal discord and personnel changes as its music. Of the four founder members - Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Bernie Leadon, and Randy Meisner – only Henley is still in the band. Other key members over the years are Don Felder, Joe Walsh, Timothy B. Schmitt and Vince Gill. |
This event is promoted by the HORSLEY LIVE MUSIC CLUB. We are a voluntary group of local music enthusiasts who put on regular music events in the Horsley area. We are grateful to the brilliant NOMAD THEATRE for their support, without which this show would not be possible. Everyone is a volunteer, including the bar staff and front of house team. Please be kind.
